General
What does RateMyFaceAI do?
It measures your face from a front photo and a side profile. Landmark points are placed on both photos, 68 ratios are calculated from them, and each ratio is scored against an ideal range from published aesthetic research. See How RateMyFaceAI works.
How accurate is it?
With correct points on an undistorted photo, every measurement is exact geometry. Accuracy therefore depends on two things you control: the photo, and the points. See Taking the right photos and Why is my score inaccurate?
Is a harmony score an attractiveness rating?
No. Harmony measures proportional balance. Most faces people find attractive score well on it, but the number describes structure, not appeal, and not your worth.
Does it account for sex and background?
Yes. Your answers during setup select the ideal ranges you are compared against, so you are measured against the norms for your own group.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The whole flow, including placing the points, works in a mobile browser. Pinch to zoom in on a point. A larger screen makes fine placement easier.
Is my photo uploaded to an AI service?
No. The landmark detection runs in your browser. Your photos are encrypted in your browser before upload, and we cannot open them.
Photos, landmarks and scores
Why is my score lower than I expected?
Usually for one of three reasons: the photo was taken too close (a selfie), some points are misplaced, or the scale is being misread. On our scale, 5 is average and 6 is a good result. See Understanding your scores.
What is the best way to take the photos?
Use the rear camera, six feet away, at eye level, in even light, with a neutral expression and your hair off your forehead and ears. For the side photo, turn a full 90 degrees. See Taking the right photos.
Some pins are blinking. Why?
Those points cover the ears, neck and head outline, which the detection model cannot see. They start at an estimate from an average head. Drag each one onto your photo before you continue.
I placed a point wrong. Can I fix it?
Yes, at any time. On your results, select "Edit your front landmark placements here" under the photo, or select step 2 or 3 at the top of the page. Your scores recalculate when you return to the results.
I am not sure where a point goes.
Select the point. The card beside the photo tells you how to find it and shows it on a sample face. Zoom in before you judge.
Can I analyse only a front photo?
You can place front points without a side photo, but the side ratios, the side score and the overall score need a side profile.
Can I compare my face to celebrities?
Yes. Every celebrity profile is measured with the same 68 ratios and the same scale, and your results show the faces your proportions sit closest to.
Billing
Where is my receipt?
In the billing portal. Open the analyzer and select Subscription at the top of the page.
How do I cancel?
Select Subscription in the analyzer, then Cancel subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. See Plans, billing & refunds.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires. If we charged you by mistake, for example after you cancelled, email us and we will put it right. See Plans, billing & refunds.
Account and privacy
Are my photos private?
Yes. They are encrypted in your browser with a key we never receive, and only your account can load your analysis. We never train models on your data.
My analysis is gone after signing in.
You most likely signed in with a different email address or Google account. Sign out and sign in with the one you used before.
My photos are missing on a new device.
The key that opens your photos stays in the browser you used. Your scores still load; upload the photos again to see your points on them.
How do I delete my account?
Scroll to the bottom of your results and select Delete my account, then confirm by email. This cancels any subscription at once, without a refund. See Account, photos & privacy.
I found a bug.
Email support@ratemyfaceai.app with what you did, what happened, and a screenshot. For a wrong score, name the ratio and include a screenshot of your points.
