Where the lower-face outline sits on the spectrum, read as a projection onto a study axis and supported by jaw width and chin width against cheekbone width. It carries the smallest weight of any measured signal, because facial width-to-height ratio is not reliably dimorphic in adults and this proxy has only modest held-out signal. It is not a perception predictor.

What the reading means
Face Shape places a face on the same 0 to 10 spectrum as every other signal in this pillar: 0 is the softest, most feminine shape and 10 the strongest, most masculine shape. There is no ideal band and neither end is better than the other. The reading comes from a set of landmarks, so photo angle, expression and lighting all move it.
The pillar index combines all 10 signals, over whichever of them a face carries a reading for. A signal with no reading drops out instead of counting as a neutral 5, and the signals do not all count equally.
